Frequently Asked Questions

Brisa is a self-pay private concierge medical practice that insurance does not cover at this time- this means that patients are required to pay for services upfront through discounted memberships.  Dr. Baez, PT, DPT is able to analyze which plan would best fit based off her expertise and examination.  However, Dr. Kelly Baez, PT, DPT has maintained her health insurance contracts from before and is willing to assist the patient in submitting any documents required for reimbursement for physical therapy – this does not apply to personal training or the massage/stretching programs.  Reimbursement by the insurance is not guaranteed, but often is worth seeking for any contracts she is in-network with or for those who have a PPO plan which allows them to choose out-of-network providers.  Companies she currently has worked with are Florida Blue, Medicare Part B, United Health Care, GEICO, AllState, State Farm, and TriCare. Whether an insurance company is willing to reimburse can easily be checked previous to the initial appointment.

Not anymore! Brisa is now 100% mobile, which means we come to you or offer virtual telehealth services.

Rather than waiting weeks or months to gain access to providers, concierge physical therapy is a more personalized, alternative model for convenient and proactive medical care.   It also enables direct access to your provider through text or email as needed without worrying about a “gatekeeper.”

Brisa is the Spanish word for breeze. Dr. Baez, PT, DPT chose Brisa Wellness as the name for her physical therapy medical practice, inspired by our body’s breath and movement.
